Can anybody give me any tips or pictures on how to remove the wing mirror covers so I can fit my shiney new chrome ones. I spent some time last night without success, they seem impossible to get off without causing any damage:confused: Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use a plastic spoon/kitchen utensil to prise gently. Make sure its plastic though else you may end up with damage!

As Moley says use something non metallic with a fine edge. With the mirror in the normal position i.e. not up, it will prise off in the direction of your front wing. Be careful though because when the clips release they do tend to ping off :D

Thanks for the advice guys, can you tell me at which part of the mirror do you prise open with the plastic impliment, ie from the very outer tip of the mirror cover or from underneath? I take it you push it in towards the car as apposed to pulling it away from the car, sorry to be a pain, I just want to get it right 1st time.

Just done mine - they are a royal pain in the arse to get off. I found that one came off pretty easily, the other was a total tw@@t!.

I found by moving them into the 'parked' position and then pushing from below worked - having something very thin and plaggy to push into the gaps helps.
