Windscreen wipers have life of there own.

My wipers have started doing there own thing, they go off when its not raining and wont stop, the position that was off now is extra quick and when i wash the rear window the fronts go as well, and when the fronts are washed it does it in extra quick and takes for ever to stop, it was funny to start with but is now annoying the hell out of me.
anyone have any idea whats going on.

Have you had the steering wheel off recently? Sounds to me like a stalk problem, read posts on similar topics before, replacing the stalk fixed the problem in this instance before.

Yes i had to replace the acceleration module so wheel came off also just tried my vagcom and i have a steering angle sensor problem, so what do you suggest when you say replaced do you mean take it off and replace or new item replace.

Dunno if either of those help as they're both mk3 ibiza but similar idea. Steering Angle sensor problem? In that you didnt put your wheel back on straight? I wouldnt like to advise you doing too much until someone who may have previous experience of this or knows a bit more about what they're talking about!

Thanks for the info, i just dont undertand why they are doing it they were perfect before i took them off.
As for the steering angle sensor i am stumped, you cant put the wheel on wonkie as there is a slot for the wheel to go into.
