Window tinting and Auto dimming rear view mirrior

I have been looking at getting the rear windows of my FR tinted, however I was just wondering if it will affect the auto dimming feature on the rear view mirror, I am thinking not as the sensor is at the front, but if anyone knows for sure, will be appreciated.

Well, while there are sensors at the front, the light input for the sensor for auto dimming the rear view mirror must come from light shining in through the rear hatch. So, if you get that tinted any more than the factory tint level then yes you might have a problem.

mine are tinted pretty dark and I've yet to notice any difference in the auto dim feature, seems to work as normal.

both. I got it professionally tinted darker ontop of factory tinted glass

I have a cupra and both the rear windows and the rear windshield are jet black from the factory and have no issues with auto dimming.
