My passenger window stopped working a while ago, the same has now happened to the drivers side. Basically you can hear the switch click when you press it but nothing happens. I've tried changing the switches around to make sure it wasn't just that that was broken but still no joy.

Is it worth takin the dorr car off to see if anything is broken or is it most likely to be a broken regulator?? What price am I looking at for one and does anyone have a part number??

cheers

Sounds like you need a new window regulator. I had exactly the same problem with mine and just decided rather than messing around taking the door card off etc I'd replace the unit all in one go. I think they are around the £110 mark from Seat but I think you might get one cheaper from GSF etc so phone around.

If its not moving at all, then your motors are shagged.

When the motors work, the window will move regardless of whether the cables are mashed or not.

I share your pain, had 2 knackered ones for a while now, just fixed the drivers one and the passenger one needs stripping out and repairing because the guide keeps on falling off! I had 2 spare regulators, but I put them up for sale and another MK3 lad bought both!

In my experience, if the regulator fails window will fall down the side of the door.
