Yup hadnt been driven for 2 days!

Does anybody know if the standard sump plug is a M14 Thread?

If your after fiiting an oil temp gauge why don't you find out where and how the cupra r takes its signal from and use that.... just a suggestion....
Also its a dam sight easier taking sump plug out while warm...

i found where that connets but its part of a loom and id be a little unsure about what wires to connect up.

Im just hoping this plug from demon tweeks will fit, Would make life alot easier.

Lookin on ETOS it does look like a M14. :D


Liking that accessory tho, will plug straight into what i'll be getting.

should make life alot easier, would it be wise to drain the whole system or just try and get the plug in quick? obiously when the car is cold? ;)

I would fit some kind of sheath and heatshrink to the end of the wire that fastens to your new sump plug.
One good thing though is when you do an oil change with the new sump plug, the plug will just dangle on the wire instead of dropping in the old oil.

Yeh i will be just gunna leave the metel hoop visable to connect to the sender, would it be recommended to cover the sender from water etc....?


I just placed my order and to be honest its abit of a joke it came to £19.99 all in which i thought was abit steep, but it should have got me out the shite so happy days.
