Will this fit (rear strutbrace)

Have searched and results were varied as to what fits.

Saw the strutbrace below for a mk1 golf at a reasonable price (sure someone said they fitted) and wanted to know if it would fit for definate.

My rear strut brace is from a MK1 golf but looks nothing like that on the ends... Looks like a crescent moon on either end so they fit round the strut tops...

it looks like it would but you wanna know the internal diameter of the strut top housing to compare against your own, would be interesting though as im after one for mine.

Pretty sure thats the one PhilW has and should fit fine.

got mine from raid hp on ebay same as polo 6n model on www.raidhp.co.uk if your interested i know it doesnt answer the question on the mk1 golf bit but i know for sure this one here fits
