Will MK4 Golf armrest fit 2001 Seat Leon

Hi,
I was wondering, will a MK4 GOLF Armrest fit a Seat Leon on a 2001 plate?

ive got one aswell, but aint had chance to fit it yet. But ive looked at a few fitting guides and still cant work out whether im just cutting out the lowered area infront of the rear ashtray or whether the cut needs to be a bit bigger than the just that. Any ideas as the arm rest seems a bit 2 thick to fit in? might be me being a bit to thick though

dainott2105... i think it rests on the top of the console, so u only need to cut the rectangular bit on the console, i have a diagram from ETOS if u want one

Its easy to do its getting the centre lose that takes the time

dainott you have to cut more than just the bottom out of the tray. but as i said before measure twice cut once!!! just cut a little away at a time n keep offering the armrest up to the console! n bingo!!!! well worth the effort!!!

armrest

I've just got one today,

from a vw/audi breakers near Milton Keynes/Dunstable (01525 210978) for £40 inc the fitting bracket ect. he had a couple more but to be honest they needed a good clean up, one needed the ali bracket.

I'm getting the lid covered in leather to match the interior.

One question on cutting the hole in the centre console;

Does it need to be big enough for the plastic on the armrest to pass through or just the Ali bracket?

That one on Ebay looks the same as mine but that was not the seller i got mine off
