Isn't the Diesel engine heavier than the petrol engine aswell.

the diesel and 1.8t use the same spring ratings...

but as said the lcr shocks are completely wrong, the leon and cupra uses golf mk4 suspension whilst lcr has audi s3 fronts and mk4 golf rears.

Ok - so im thinking.......is it just the shocks that wont fit? can i get the lcr suspension on the rear, and the springs on the front with different shocks??

And will the ARB fit?

no the front suspension is totally different.

dont mismatch shocks and springs either...

how much are you getting the lcr for?

arb is different also. it goes under the driveshaft on lcr and over it on the lc

ok - the suspension was £25 a corner including arb. Thats why I wanted it over coilovers and buying arbs!

better paying a little more for something that fits though....

no chance of the lcr susp fitting tbh mate.

whats the budget you want to pay, plenty of budget kits out there?

im not sure really - the cheaper the better, but I dont want to have to replace it a few thousand miles down the road!

I have previously only owned minis and really miss its cornering abilities! So....what I want is a less ''wallowy'' ride and a some stiffer suspension! My bro has a mk4 golf and has just spent the thick end of a grand on suspension, which is fair enought, because it will be the dogs, but I dont want to spend that much! Especially as I know I will get bored of this car in maybe a years time and will want to change it for something else! (maybe LCR??!!)

save the cash for a lcr then......
the lcr handles poo aswell stock.

you need coilovers and arbs to handle really well mate.

looking at at least 500 for a good setup on thesre, no cheapo way of doing it im afraid.

shocks and springs £200 min

arbs£250 min for front and back

it will be much improved with the arbs, but the 110 isnt built for performance handling so on the track fast road etc itll never match a "sports car".....

the arbs wont improve the ride comfort etc, just better through the twisties.
