if im right, i may be wrong, a remap or any engine modifications within the warranty will invalidate it, but places like revo have a hidden code, so it doesnt show up on tests done by seat. only the tuning company can see

IIRC if you take the car back under warranty for an engine fault and they find the map you're up the shitter - but there has to be a reasonable connection between what you've had done and the fault you're taking it in for.
If you modify something then the warranty on that thing and anything directly related to it will be invalid.
So say if you remap your car and the drive shafts snap then they could potentially say that because you're placing additional load on them due to the remap then they could claim that it was caused by your remap.
Also despite what people say there are ways of finding out whether you have a remap installed or not. Most dealers probably just choose not to.
