will 2.0 16v cat fit on 8v?

i believe ive bought a 16v cat off ebay intead of an 8v despite asking the seller twice if it was an 8v and engine code AGG.

i noticed it was wrong when the diameter of the pipe to the center pipe was exactly the same diameter as the center pipe ends. im thinking if i get a slightly bigger bit of exhaust i can put that between the 2 and join em together with 2 clamps.

now....wud that make the center pipe too short/ too long for the center pipe to reach the back box? also wud there be any difference if i plugged the 16v lambda sensor in?

it looks like item 2 on that. it fits on downpipe alright but the center pipe i just bought wont fit and that was definately for the 2.0 8v.
