Hello, Im new here. Im looking at buying a new Leon 5dr FR 150 to replace my Leon Copa mk 2.
I park in a small garage during the day, its 2mtr wide, my current car fits but I have read the MK 3 is wider.
I wondered if anyone would be kind enough to measure the width mirror to mirror, and also with the electric mirrors folded. Possibly through the open windows if that ok as the brochure only shows the width of the car.
Im 45 mins from the nearest dealer so cant test drive one easily to try it.
Thanks in advance
Al

mirrors closed 75" may be some one will be able to do it with 2 people.

Thanks Robin, its tight but it might just fit, if any one can check with two people or a piece of bluetack on the tape it would be much appreciated. Just dont scratch your car.

1975mm inc mirrors in the brochure. I can park mine in my small garage with the mirrors out but I fold them in anyway. Not sure how wide my garage is (not very) but it does have extra narrow arms so it maximizes the opening.

My garage was tight and that why I needed folding mirrors
The measurement wing mirror to mirror is 1975 mm when close they are only about 5 to 10 mm difference than the cars width as the tuck well in and the car fares out at the wheel arches

The entry into a garage is narrower than the actual garage inside. Space is taken from the door frame and mechanism.

Exactly the same as mine narrow door on a wide garage one thing to watch is if you open the window to gauge it the window lip is the cars narrowest point its wider at the wheel arch

Exactly this, it's a sliding concertina door 2mtrs wide. Once the mirrors are in I can turn it slightly and full open the door.
I'd post up pics of the current car. It can't get the forum to work on tala talk
thanks for the welcome

An increasing problem with all new cars it seems....gettnig larger and wider generally. Very few people I know actually use their garage for its intended purpose - and at least some of those are because they can't.....

I think cars are getting wider because people are.
Some days you can barely squeeze into our Greggs....

my garage seems to be full of what was in my daughter's flat till she move back home, and our older furniture my wife's keeping for when she moves back out again.

Oh - and my summer wheels, the spares that I took off the wheels I bought for winter tyres, the barbie, the garden chairs, the remaining two sacks of potatoes we grew that we haven't eaten yet, two bikes, the strimmer.......

Just an update, the car fits JUST but the park pilot goes mental

Hehe, yes, I've had that on rentals too. (My Leon doesn't have park assist.) Isn't there a way to only make it beep when there's like, 1 bar left before hitting it? Instead of chirping at 4 bars? Assuming it shows the distance with those bars, I think most such systems do, right?
