whys this jus happened??????

alright peeps

was just on my way home from work in my 2003 1.9Tdi sport ibiza and whilst drving lost PAS, ABS the stereo was on and off all the time and the climate controll screen wall flickering, so i pulled over and turned the engine of to see if eveythin would reset on restarting the engine and it wouldnt start for a good 5mins and then all of a sudden it started and was ok apart from all my trip computer had reset

anybody no the reson for this happening? just want to try and prevent it from happening again if possible

sounds like a major power failure somewhere

check the main fuses / battery connections / alternator + starter power cables

had this on an old car and turned out to be the alternator, problems starting maybe because the battery is trying to do everything

I Know this thread is old but did you get to the bottom of this ????
I have this on my fr tdi at the moment it happened twice yesterday!!!!
