Why does same coil keep going?

Any ideas why the same coil would keep failing every few weeks? Could it be the ecu causing it?
Really fed up with not knowing how far i can drive before it fails again.

The ecu might be sending too strong a signal causing wasted spark and overloading that particular coil as the spark isnt spread evenly across all four.

or

incorrect earthing of one or more coils? is it the closest coil to the earth?

I not sure. The garage has it and they said it's number 4 that keeps failing. They said they need to find out if it's twin spark or single then they'll take it from there.

are they that incapable of knowing? If they can't tell you if it's twin spark or not, why do you have any confidence that it's cyl4 that's failing?

Thats why i'm on here, tryin to find out if what he says it is (or could be) is true. He said he needed the number off the ecu to know whether it's twin or single. When he does a diagnostic check he tells me its cyl4 every time. To be honest i don't know much bout engines so i take his word he knows what he's on about. Any other help is greatly appreciated..
