White smoke

hey, got a puff of white smoke on acceleration in 1st gear then its fine, only happens in 1st.
any ideas.

always happens mate after the cars been sat there for ages and once you've driven it for a few minutes it goes clear. Not sure why though im guessing its crap from your engine?

only noticed it yesterday in the heat, ampient temperature got anything to do with it.

White smoke could either be water burning off or fuel, if its only minor I wouldnt be too worried, have a friend follow you to check its white and not a tint of blue.

had a mate behind me last night, he said its 1 big puff of white smoke then nothing. hopefully nothing but just checking

Start up its probably condensation.

only in 1st gear, had been driving for a while yesterday when i noticed.

Is it using any water? check the header tank!!

If it does it when the engine's warm, you've probably blown your head gasket. Check for "mayonaise" on your oil cap and check your coolant level daily.

If it only happens when cold, its probably excess water in the exhaust burning off.

had my service done last nite engine flush new oil etc. oil was still clean
