I'll keep it concise so as not to infringe the 'witch-hunt' rules.
Recently bought a car from them and the service was really quite woeful.
The dealer was impolite - never once shook the hand of my wife or I, never once offered us a drink, never even thanked us for our business when he had bagged several thousand pounds of our money. And when we finally had the keys in our hand he didn't even walk us to the car to check that we were comfortable with the controls and see us off, preferring instead to suck up to some new potential customers who were mooching about.
I'm not expecting subservience or kowtowing but this bloke didn't even exhibit basic manners and common decency - when I was filling in the registration docs on my wife's behalf because she was busy changing our baby's nappy, he tried to brow-beat me into signing it on her behalf as he had an eye on some other punters who had wandered into the showroom. I said to him that if he wanted to give him some of their time he should go ahead and come back to us as we were going to do things in our own time. He bit his lip but just stood over me trying to look impatient to get us out of the door.
It's a shame, really, as a good impression and a bit of sensible compromise on the deal (he ended up budging by less than 1% of the screen price plus ~8 months tax - he wouldn't even stretch to a set of mats or a tank of fuel) would have likely resulted in him getting further business out of us in future for servicing and the like. Instead, we'll be seeking out someone else to hand our hard-earned over to.
