guys im really debating whether to have my leon fr in white when i order it, but im wondering what kind of results you get after a good detail wax etc. i really love the deep shine and reflection you get from darker colours and wonder what white looks like in this respect?? any opinions and pics would be great - thanks in advance

Same here. Considered white but it is the colour of the moment and OK if you change it every couple of years. Black is more rewarding and looks much better when clean, white is quite dull in that respect.
As Jace says black is fastest as well.

White just sucks up reflections and looks flat in almost all light - it's also a total 'mare to detail as you've got next to no chance of seeing where you've put any product on it (you need to go by feel).

The upside is that (from a small distance) it looks cleaner for longer. There's a massive demolition site next door to where I work and my car looks cleaner than all the others despite the ridiculous amounts of dust in the air

By contrast, black looks fantastic when it's clean but then you start crying the next day when you can see every particle of dust on it.

In summary - go for red. :)
