Hey first post here...I have a 2013 ibiza fr 1.6 TDI.
Was wondering if anyone can help. I have recently noticed what sounds like a whining noise which I have Never noticed before. As soon as I pull away and the revs build up it starts. Release my foot from the accelerator pedal and it stops, that made me think it was just the turbo doing it’s thing until I read some posts on here. I’m now worried my turbo is about to go. It’s had a stage 1 remap and the Cambelt was changed at around 44000 miles. I also just had a nice £650 bill for a egr valve replacement At 52600 miles due to the old one being completely seized, which is apparently a common problem on these and a pain of a job to do..The car hasn’t even done 53000 miles. It’s not until a few days after the egr valve was replaced I noticed the noise
