I had a 290 cupra a few years ago and I'm thinking of coming back to the fold. ( Also looking at golf r's)

I've looked at Leon's , Formentor's and Alteca's. But I struggling to decide which to go for , the all have approx. 300bhp and are all roughly the same size ( I know two are higher). What are people general opinions on them , is the fact the tech in the Alteca is older a good or a bad thing and are the matrix headlights in the new 2 much better than the older ones???

I've been looking at a very similar conundrum too, not helped by the aging Ateca being end of life this year, with it's replacement having a new name and being a bit bigger. The Formentor is also expecting a fairly significant facelift too - and really good it looks too.

I've opted for a Cupra Ateca - logic being that it's proven technology, hasn't fallen into the VW trap of pushing all the functions onto the touch screen which would drive me nuts. The car comes extremely well equipped with little in the way of options. The key buying consideration for me is not to buy new as the depreciation is brutal and the now the UK used car market pricing seems to be almost in free-fall. It's a buyer's market. I have retired and plan on keeping the car for 5+ years, maybe more if it proves reliable.
