I have been having a think about putting some leathers in the Leon.

Would be grateful if we could get this thread going in the direction of a;
what interior fits,
what fits with minor alterations,
what fits but you have to REALLY WANT THEM TO FIT and
what plain doesnt fit.

The usual vags spring to mind obviously, A3, A4, A6, A8?? Golf, Bora, Passat, Polo?? Toledo, Octavia... etc.
Then Im wondering, Porsche, Chrysler, Ford... the list is pretty endless.

Almost anything is possible, I remember back in the day when we were rocking AXGTs and Metro MPis my mate had a set of full leathers out of a Jeep Cherokee in his AX, wonderful!! Fully electric too!! [B)]

Front seats are going to be easier to fit into than rear seats, but I am open to a mix n match as long as I can find the same colours eg. black A3 rear seats with Porsche up front :D

Also they have an 'X'reg A6 with some smart leathers in my local scrappy for breaking, he wants £300 for 'em, will that interior give me any joy??

The reason the Leon will accept certain car seats from within the VAG group with ease, is because they share the under-carriage/floor-plan of their sister and brother companies. Mk4 Golfs, A3s etc are all cool..

But an A6 will need work done on the sub-frame because they're a completely different floor-pan. If you're a good DIYer, anything will fit.

Try top of the line leather R32 seats from the Mk4. Sexual.

Mk1 Octy yes, they go in.

As Likwid says, the Konig seats from a MK4 R32 are lovely, I lived with a set for 2 years and still miss them now. Rare beasts and pricey though.

Mk1 Octy while comfy are not very supportive and you tend to slide around a lot on the leather.

Mk4 cloth GTi recaro seats are plentiful, affordable and do the job nicely!

My bad. I think you're right.

The weird thing is, when i found this pic.. I was a little mystified by the lack of any substantial side-bolster support.. I remembered the mk4 seats being more cupped... or bucketed.

Sorry, here we go.

Plus the R32'S have the 'R' logo which goes with the Cupra 'R'
