absolutely loads of info on all the companies out there mate

understand what you are trying to achieve, but take everyones opinion with a pinch of salt, speak to the companies involved in your decision and take it from there

do a search for all the different tuners, i bet it throws up 1000's of threads for your perusal

A good thing about Revo is that you can have one of there 5 hour free trials!

What do Jabba use? I know they do 'custom maps' - But do they use any particular software or interface?

As has been said there are lots of optiona available to you with different codes having different characteristics, the best thing is to go and have a free trial where you can. There is a new APR dealership now set up in Kirkcaldy called Cruise Motorsport, he could do a free 6 hour trial for you. Otherwise there are many other places, that can offer the same. Give them a try and make your own judgement :)

does APR free trial end similar to REVO where it dumps it's own generic map back on (and from what i have read, not as good as OEM map)?

and if you decide to go for a different mapper it's a pain for them as they need to revert to OEM map first and it's not a simple case of up and downloading maps

depends, they all have their advantages and different people like different ones

revo has alot of dealers and the advantage of being able to turn it on and off and fiddle with it via and SPS switch at extra cost
APR seems a very good bit of kit from my trips to awesome (i shld of got the free trial for my drive home yesterday!!!)

How about Custom-Code?

With the Leon Cupra R the power goes up to 270-275bhp and torque goes from 207lb/ft to 260-270lb/ft

With the Custom-Code remap it is such a smooth drive, we keep the torque as smooth as possible and keep the power going all the way into the revs :)

Please have a look at this power graph of a Custom-Code Phase 2 Audi TT 225:
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m136/JBS_Auto_Designs/AudiTT225P2.jpg

With the Phase 1 the power and torque curves will be very similar to the Phase 2 but with a little less torque as that TT has 322lb/ft :)

Cost for the C-C Phase 1 comes to £528.75 all in
