My Detailing Kit fund is growing and I'll shortly be in the market for some goodies..

Either or PC or the Megs version together with pads and suitable products for application.

Now, I do have swirls which I'll firtsly need to remove and so I was wondering if anyone who had expert knowledge of which pad and polish combination would be suitable for the colour of my car - Extreme Blue.

I'll also need to add in some additional pads for sealant/wax and any ideas on these too would be most welcome, I don't mind spending a bit of lolly on the right product if it gives a worthwhile result.

Many thanks :funk:

Each car is different and different people have different styles. I would suggest you need a fairlyaggresive polish with a medium pad. Menzerna IP followed by Final Finish on a light cut/ buffing pad will probably be sufficient.
If there is a kit with a selection of megs pads then I would go for this as I quite rate their pads. I would not personally bother with Sonus pads as I found they were a lot of effort for little results. Have a look at the three pack here. Should be all you ever need but remember to start with the least aggresive combo and work up. It is easier to remove more than re-spray.

cheers Daffy, this is the sort of answer I was seeking as I have looked at the kits available and wouldn't know which pads to choose, ie if there was in fact any difference.

Ta mate:)
