Which cooler is best?

1) I have the options of installing the S3 Cooler or
2) Keep the stock Cooler and fit the Forge twincooler.

Apparently, it doesn't work too well with the S3 cooler here in South Africa.
Pics of Forge Twincooler:

Just wanted to know.
Which will work out best.
Efficiency wise, Intake temps etc

The Forge is a front mount, with the coldest air possible hitting this cooler with less pressure as well.

What say you guys?

I would to get my hands on the APR IC
I don't think they easy to come by here in South AFrica tho.

I'm getting the Forge twincooler at a good price.
Same price as the S3 cooler.

That's why I need to make my mind up to see which 1 is better for me!
C'mon guys
S3 cooler or Forge Twincooler!

The Twintercooler should perform better than the S3 cooler. More overall volume and like you say its right at the front of the car where the cold air is. It costs a lot more usually so if you can get one for a good price then go for it!!!
I have one and i cant fault it. They look great too through the front grills.
Very easy to fit also, much less labour time than the S3 cooler. If you keep you old hoses you can remove it when it comes to selling your car. It will always have a second hand value

APR is probably the best, but its not cheap.

The best one for value vs gains has to be the S3 intercooler.

I think you will find the Forge Twintercooler and the oem intercooler will more than do the job.... or the S3 & the Forge is great....

Will you guys release graphs to show the inlet temp drop with both the OEM cooler and S3 cooler at all?

S3 Cooler £300
Twintercooler £500
APR Expensive but arguably the best available

I saw a 20% inlet temp reduction with the S3 intercooler over the OEM intercooler. I would love to see logs for the others.

Yep and I am still having problems. But the missfires started before I fitted the twintercooler. I should have made it clearer.

i bet that your missfires are around cylinder number 3?
same thing happened to me and i ended up with a new cylinder head , plus 3 more months of work to fully fix

does anyone know how much the OEM hoses for the S3 intercooler costs

Should be around 150-250 GBP for both hoses! (I'm quoting on my home currency * exchange rate)
We only need the left side hose, the other 1 can be modified!
