A coilpack has gone on my beeza so i phoned euro car parts and orderd a new one, it came today and iv fitted it and all is fine, however..... The coilpack is different to all the other 3 i think its the one off the tt and a3 etcetc it still fits amd works it just requires two screws in those two holes which are on the rocker cover to seal it in place, i just wonderd weather it would be a good idea to buy another 3 to mach? as thats the only coilpack they had on there system for a 20vt engine???
help please guys..........

I quoted the proper VAG part number to GSF, confirmed the engine code of my car and it was the correct one.

The fault light will go out by itself, although the fault will remain logged on the ecu. If you like to keep ontop of your registered faults then it's best to get it cleared with VAG-COM. Just handy if you're trying to get to the bottom of a current issue and it's flagging up a fault from months ago which has since been resolved.

If you haven't got VAG COM by the way you can clear the fault by disconnecting the battery for approximately 10minutes.
Whilst your there it wouldn't harm to do a throttle body alignment, to do this when the battery is reconnected turn the ignition on (DON'T START ENGINE) and then you will hear a whining noise coming from the throttle body once the noise has stopped it will be re-aligned (DON'T START THE CAR WHILST DOING THIS).:)
