When connecting power up for an AMP or what ever which terminal on the battery should you be using, should you connect it directly to the battery underneath or should you use the spare connections on the top?

I just wonder if i have put it onto the wrong positive terminal and it cause the ESP and ABS lights to come on.

Im going to ring the dealer in the morning !!! and get it booked in

erm... connect the positive connection on the amp to the positive connection on the battery.....

negative to earth (shell of the car)

I would expect a direct connection to the battery terminal (fused of course)

yeah, i have done that, but on my MK4 Cupra when i lift the battery cover there is about 6 cables that are factory ones going onto terminals then above these terminals there is spaces to provide power to other devices,

Am i right in thinking that or should i have not used them ?

im just trying to phathom out why the ABS and ESP lights came on after the install. i have done install before in other cars i have owned and never had such a going on
