Where is the boot light switch on the mk2 ibiza

Its never worked since I got mine, investigated last night and discovered that the lamp unit didn't have a bulb.

Bought a bulb today and its still not working.

The boot light switch is located in the latch mechanism that is fastened to the hatch.
