i know that sound dodgy!

i have now got a boost gauge in me car since the weekend and at the mo i have put a t - piece in the vacuum hose that comes out the top of the DV.

After chatting to a number of people on here who have also got a boost gauge and have hocked it up to a number of differenct places.

could sum1 please tell me the best place to hock it up 2?

also is it true that the cupra R comes with a boost gauge that is wired up to where that little green cap is on the left side of the engine bay by the washer bottle?

hope sum1 can help!

Hi dude, I got your PM.

My SW gauge is running the standard 'hard' plastic pipe until the 'green' nipple where it is plummed in using some 3mm vac hose. The green nipple is located on the brake servo line (I personally think this is the least messy way).

Unfortunatly the Cupra R doesnt come with a boost gauge as standard.

does the hard plastic tube that it comes with not fit over that nipple then?

when fitting the gauge i noticed how tight it was in the pod, u can only just get the platic tube into the back of the gauge!

Hadz, unfortunately not mate, order some 3mm vac hose from Forge and replace the other crappy braided hoses with the stuff left over.

As for the fit, did you remove the brass nut, slip it into the gauge then tighten the brass nut back up?

yeah i did that mate but i mean the pipe sits a strange angle when u have got it connected! i have just got sum 4mm silicone hose 2day so im trying to work out the best place to hock it up 2 coz im going to replace the hose at the weekend!

Ahh right, I have mine on the a-pilar so I just gently fed it down towards the bulkhead.

Pull off the green cap, place a small section of 4mm hose onto the exposed nipple and then insert the hard pipe and secure with cable ties.
