Lets start with some background information. I took ownership of my lovely ovni Ibiza Cupra on the 20/07/2006. I had a week of trouble free driving loving ever min of it. Then on the 30/07/2006 (day before my holiday to thailand) horror struck my clutch pedal had snapped its weld. Well I wasnt best pleased but knew it was common so didnt kick up a fuss. They fix my car while im away for two weeks. £168 later I pick it back up on the 16/08/2006 and re kindle the reason I bought the car in the first place. Then on the Evening of the 21/08/2006 horror strikes again the clutch peddle weld goes again luckily 20meters away from the garage. This time tho its more severe they need to order in lots of parts clutch plates, new peddle and all this. In the end it cost me £425 so thats £593 spent to fix this problem so last night went and picked the car up and the clutch felt alot lighter and back to what it should be. Then this morning 31/08/2006 I start the car up and leave it 5mins like always to warm up get in car everything is fine and then 20meters down the road the engine Diagnosis light comes on I was so close to just setting fire to the car but I restrained my self and thought of kittens and nice things. So now I have to spend my lunch time up the garage while they try and figre whats wrong this time.

Hmmm so who wants to place bets on what will go next?

Personally cant believe you paid again for the clutch to be fixed after they did it, it'll have just been the shitly welded pedal going again which will have had a 12mnths warranty on the parts and labour.

yeh ???????? why did you pay again ?????? i would of ramed the broken peddel up there a*s till they fixed it for free :)

5 days later and it snaps again ??? thats down to poor workmanship on there side, they prob didnt clean the metal up properly ?

DEMAND YOUR MONEY BACK, im sure Trading Standards would be happy to hear the story :)

if your not bothered getting your money back, then get it back anyway and send it to me :)

Well I have let them off as they have deducted nearly £200 in labour off as they had to fix other stuff as well. They didnt just re weld the peddle they got a new peddle and clutch plate. Ill scan in the parts list later.

Im sorry to hear about your problems! My pedal box went on my first cupra and my clutch pedal snapped last year on this one! I made sure they did a double weld on it

I have had my fair share of problems in the last couple of months so i do feel for you but give it time and it will all be sorted again
