When it's cold...

Does anyone else find that their car doesn't like it very much when it's been sat all day in the cold?

When I start it at night after being parked all day, I find it feels quite juddery when I press the accelerator, almost like there's a blockage or something. But after a bit it just springs to life and shoots off!

yeah mine is like that , if its been cold it will take a second or two longer to start than normal or once your moving , you go to rev it up in second and when you hit about 2.5k it hesitates but the revs still pick up to 3k and then it goes back to normal

Yeah ive noticed that too.

What engine is in your arosa?

My TDi is bad on cold mornings, it starts fine, you have to wait for the heater plugs though, which stay on a little longer than normal. Its really quite gruff and seems to run ever so slightly faster.

Then i just potter about with low revs before then engine starts to warm a little then it sounds fine again.

The TDi takes an ages to warm though though. One morning i did 11 miles before the needle hit 90!

My 1.0 is better in the cold, warms though much quicker.

Think i need to get the coolent checked on them both, see its fine for the winter, had our first frosty morning here today.
