Model Year 24/25 When does the 48V battery charge and how to see its status

Hello,
I am wondering what are the conditions for charging the mild hybrid battery and how to see its charging level. My question is based on the following behaviour:

• In D mode, when I get approach the car in front of me there is a gentle braking without any movement of the braking pedal (as opposed to the braking when ACC is on).
  • The feeling is slightly different than a normal braking.
• In S mode (which I usually use) there is no such braking.

So this leads me to think that maybe the gentle braking in D mode is a regenerative braking, and in S mode I lose it...
I couldn't find anything in Google search. Any clue?
