Wheels Bolt/Nut Caps

I've just fitted a set of the Cupra R alloys to my Leon. I bought new wheel bolts too as the ones on the car were well worn. I had to order some caps to go over the bolt head as I was told that they only did a generic set of bolts and not a set the same colour as the wheel.

I had the wheels on now for about 24 hours and I lost 16 caps. The only ones that have stayed on are the ones on the locking wheel nuts.

Have I been sold bolts with heads too small, or caps too big? Or have I just not fitted them on properly?

Any thoughts would be helpful, as I don't fancy buying a set of new caps every week!!

Caps too big.

The caps that go on the locking wheel nuts are a little bit bigger than the normal bolts, hence why you've lost all 16 of them.

You should have 16 of the smaller and 4 of the larger!

When i went to SEAT, they said they only had 1 number on the system. I had to do a search on here for the correct part number and then pass that onto my dealer for them to get the other set of covers.

Funny you should mention these covers.... I've had my LCR since July and had no problems with the bolt covers, I cleaned it yesterday and all 5 are missing from my rear near side wheel! Odd. I'll be keeping watch for any litte scum, wheel nicking, thieves! :rifle: :drive2:

Thanks. I'll visit the dealer onMonday and get some ordered. Don't know why they couldn't have ordered the right ones in the first place as I ordered the bolts from them too!
