Wheels and Suspension Help?

Hi everyone,

I have just bought a 110 TDI SE, I am not a big modder with wheels and suspension usually being the only mods I will do.

My question is what would you reccommend, I like to have the car looking fairly standard so I am torn between the 17" Starfish and the 18" LCR alloy wheels. Will both of these sets fit my Leon and will there be any adverse effects with the 18s compared to the 17s. Also I don't like a too harsh ride so was thinking of putting the standard LCR springs on just to make the car sit better and handle a bit better.

What are your opinions on this, 17s or 18s and do I just need the LCR springs or do I need the full suspension setup.

I am not the most mechanically minded of people, so if this sounds stupid I apologise.

Thanks in advance for any replies,

Lee

theres sum star 1s on ebay at the min£100 and think if you put 18s on it should be ok but not 100% if they will fit

They went for £150, I would have had them for that but I was too busy on here reading a thread.

I do prefer the LCR wheels though (who doesn't), I think they would fit fine after looking at a couple readers rides's. Would still like some opinion on the suspension.

Cheers, Lee

me personally go for fr cupra tdi 17"wheels as they are the same as cupra 18"wheels.. try coilovers as jus changing the springs can crusify your ride quality.cutting corners with crap suspension mods can end up making you with you spent tht extra 350 quid for coilovers in first place..

I would ideally like coilovers, however £££'s. Could I get LCR full suspension kit from somebody who had put coilovers on they're car? or am I being thick, as above I am not mechanically minded

Cheers

The LCR has different shock set up where the ARB mounts to the shock.

You can get brand new shocks and spring kits for your car for around £150..look in the DPM section on here.

18's will be fine, no problems there :)
