Excuse the dumb question but does anyone know if you can get seat centre caps to fit vw wheels? I bought some as temporary while mine are being refurbished but I think I prefer them to the originals but would obviously want seat centre caps.

The centre bore size is the same on all VW group wheels, your original seat centre caps should go straight onto the VW wheels.

There you go, a VW golf wheel with a Seat centre cap fitted

I agree the centre bore is the same but the vw ones I have are over 70mm when measured on the outside face. The seat one are much smaller and don't sit in the recess in the wheel. Difficult to explain without pics.

What size is the Centre bore on a Leon?

It’s 57.1.

Not sure about most Seat models, but with VW, most models have a centre bore of 57.1 (the Touareg centre bore is 66.6 and Amarok is 65.1).

the centre bore (size of hole on inside of rim for fitment) is the same but the size of the hole on the outside for the centre cap is different. This amazed me and haven't been able to get hold of any Seat branded VW size ones. From memory Seat are 54mm and VW 65mm. There's lots of blank/plain 65mm ones out there which may be the best you can do. Personally I've made my own vinyl decals and put over the VW logo and only true petrol heads would notice the DIY job.

ps: All seat centres now look too small to me!.

Pretty certain there are different sizes of genuine VW centre caps.

There’s someone over on golfgtiforum.co.uk who recently fitted some aftermarket wheels to their car. Genuine VW Golf centre caps didn’t fit, but a set for a Polo did. The centre bore size for both the Golf and the Polo is the same at 57.1.

I fitted some Audi 18 inch wheels that have a cap bore of 57.1mm for caps. They came with the single cap & nut covers but with a removable Audi logo.
I took off the Audi logos and bought these SEAT caps which I prised the badges off and stuck them off the Audi caps. These badges are about 57mm diameter, so matched better than using the typical 54mm versions.

Ah yes, and of course the seat logo was updated a few years ago.
I've not managed to find anyone selling the 65mm new logo caps but please do share if anyone finds them!
