Wheel Bolt Question

Hey,

I have 15" SE Alloys. Off to put some 17" Starfish on. The same bolts from the standard 15" be ok for the 17"'s?

Quick answer would be appreciated

i wouldnt think it would be a problem but dont hold me to that, ask the fitter..they will know best..all depends on how different the wheel is,i.e. if you have spacers

There are two types of bolt. Rounded and Tapered fitting. Type depend on how the wheel holes are machined.

usually OE wheels are radius and after market are tappered

Not always though, My Superleggeras are the same as OE.

Well ... they are both standard wheels ...

Should be fine. The fact that they are both standard Seat alloys means the bolts will be fine. Otherwise it would cost Seat(VAG) a fortune to make different bolts for different wheels and cars.

The only time I've every known of a problem is when swapping from steel to alloy.
