It's a faulty part isn't it? So it should be covered, it probably managed to get rain water in it past the seals/grease. Just unlucky I guess.

If it was an adjustment like tracking or handbrake or a consumable like brake pads or bulbs then no.

Having said that, I managed to get a new pair of front wipers under warrenty within the first 3 months from new. They were streaky. Glad too as they would have been £30 odd

Have you had this checked? Noise from the rear is usually from the rear tyres wearing funny on the inside edges causing a drone or drumming noise. Just a thought?

Yes they are covered [ 60k miles for warranty] but should last for about 120k!. You should check the rear wheel inner tyre tread for 50p type marks - this will result in the wheel noise. I had my suspension re aligned by SEAT under warranty - but you will have to push for it - did not get pro rata monies for the replacement tyres that it cost me though!?!?

I had my off-side rear wheel bearing go after 35-38K also. It was fxed by Thompson & Thompson near chepstow under warranty. I've heard theres alot of trouble here with tyres but mine was definatley a wheel bearing it should be quite noticable at 60/80mph!!!
