Hi,

before I lowered my car, I recently had new tyres fitted and aligned/tracked at the same time, and they were setup fine.

I have now lowered the car in coilovers and I am wondering if it will hav changed any of the setup.

I'm not sure if it wud hav any affect on the setup, the tracking - well shudnt b changed, alignment - coilovers wudnt change that wud it? And the camber - from what I understand it is hard for it to be changed.

So yeh the original question, would lowering my car affect the setup at all from being fine previously?

Cheers :)

Yes, tracking is just 2 wheel, this is good but 4-wheel is better imo, my garage charges me same price for 4 wheel laser as 2 wheel.

its not hard its not possible (really) they dont have ajustable camber when on coilovers you align the tracking and use the play on bolts to adjust the camber MINAMALLY!

my tracking before coilovers was done and tyres always worn unevanly but i fitted my coilovers and done the tracking myself and used the play on the bolts to adjust the camber/caster and my tyres have now worn evenly car still slightly puls left but 90% of beezer do!

well on the motorway it is better i spose as you will hit the rumble pad instead of swerving into traffic and into the kerb instead of a headon with a car! but i wouldnt call it a "safety feature" tho

a "charactaristic"!

as said above, the camber isn't adjustable!
mine is 30mm lower at the front and there is 1.2 degrees of camber on each side discovered when the 4 wheel alignment was done.

This is great for handling but harsh on the inside tyre edge!

One of the con's of having lowered suspension i'm afraid!

After any part of your suspension is replaced you should get the alignment checked as i doubt it will go back together identical to how it was set up!

BTW, my alignment has been checked twice and it still pulls to the left ever so slightly!

OK cheers guys, sorry for late reply, have been on business for 3 days.

My inside edge of the Pzero's wore so much more than the outside for the first set of tyres, n that was standard suspension.

I will try and get it realigned and ask them about the play in the bolts to maybe reduce the camber abit cos i wasted half a tyre wit the last 10k mile set!

Again, cheers guys n girls :)
