Wheeeely big problem!

I have been given by a mate for free a set of BBS RX/RK2 replicas made by Lenso.

They are 7.5" or 8" wide (more like 8s to be honest) with a ET40 offset. With no tyres on they rub the spring platform for the strut on the front and are very tight, will possibly rub on the back with tyres on.

Anybody got any ideas or shall i give up and scrap the idea??

Car is a Ibiza mk2 GTI 16v if needed.

I do a lot of fast road driving, track days and 2 ring trips this year so dont want scrubbage at any point.

i had some similar wheels. The tyres rubbed on the rear suspension housing. I recieved 4 points and £350 worth of fines and court costs, aswell as then spending 450£ on a set of coilovers. they didnt rub with the coilovers on, but i couldnt afford to replace the tyres, so i put the standard wheels back on.

buggered tryes or scraping?
