Whats wrong with my Cupra?? :(

Hey guys,

My car (03 Cupra R) is acting up. About two months ago I was driving on the motorway and all of a sudden power went and the engine was vibrating when accelerating. Turned out to be 3 spark plugs had gone, once replaced the car was fine.
Fastfoward to today, on the motorway again, engine management light starts flashing and the car acts the same way as before, car and engine vibrates when accelerating and engine management light flashing, no power. So I pull over, shut the engine off and on, it all cleared up and I could drive as normal again. This has happened a total of 4 times now in the space of 24hours. Its as if the car is going into limp mode to protect itself maybe? It just loses all power, vibrates and stutters. Any ideas??

Sounds like a coil pack on its way out.

Defo a coil pack mate, to save ur self a bit of cash vag-com it ur self to find out which coil it is or replace all four with fresh coils and clean all four plugs.

Turned out to be spark plugs again. The mechanic admitted he put the wrong ones in a few weeks ago and replaced the wrongly fitted ones with the correct type! No charge !!!
