Id want to see the pictures of the Cat C damage and work done to put my mind at rest, and also knock a few hundred off for it, even if its done to the best standard cars never have the same value.

Aside from that looks tidy, particularly the interior. Good service history, seems ok to me.

Ive bought some cars on ebay, I always try and get them at least a couple of hundred less than what i think they are actually worth, to take into account travel, and also small bits and pieces that can need doing on a car.

As for what its worth, its partly what you feel comfortable paying. I saw one go on ebay for 920 which tempted me, but im not flush at the moment, on a good day i might have paid up to 1300 for it.

16v's without Cat C seem to go between 900-2000!, seems to be on what the buyer is prepared to pay.

£1000 tops of you don't want to be stung, i'd be aiming around £800 if the historys complete and with a timing belt change, I'd also want to see evidence of the extent of the damage.

Having said all that it look well and MK2's seem to have lost as much as they are going to. A stunning white one went for £2100 a month or so back. People seem to be willing to pay more than what the cars actually worth for a good one at the moment.

Not sure think its upto you what you want to pay for it. I paid £600 for a 1999 that had rear impact. It had the timing belt done MOT and tax and only 78k on it. Cost me about £150 to get it repaired. If it was me i wouldnt pay more than £750/£800 for it.
