Between the Cupra 180bhp and the Cupra R 225bhp? guessing uprated turbos because as far as I was told the actual engine build is exactly the same, just a few uprated bits and bobs.. anybody know the exact difference? thanks again all.

Rods might be the same, I don't think anyone's sure. 210/225 have extra oil spray to underside of pistons, and have different compression ratio (lower on 210/225 engines). Dunno if cams, valves etc are the same.

Turbo, Exhaust manifold, dp and exhaust. Inlet manifold, TB, extra intercooler and different charge pipe and hose routing and sizes, Airbox and MAF.

Best bet is to try a search, there were quite a few discussions on what the differences are.

I think to answer your question specifically - the engines are essentially the same.
