in effect, a k03sport is 'the hybrid k03'

the car that scottbrummy is breaking in the for sale section he said has a hybrid ko3 on it although it is advertised as a ko4 turbo.

hybrid K03 sport turbo's (k03s) is prob what is meant. basically means k04 internals/components using the K03/s housing and fitment..


basically like AM04/JBS04 units

what i do know, or atleast believe...is that is another member on scn who has made a new account and is breaking the car after he couldn't sell it as a whole

If its a Ko3s as said above then yes it will be a straight swap.

yeh straight swap...however judging the car its coming off...i wonder what condition the oil seals are in. if im correct about the guy selling it, i vaguely remember him saying it was built by turbo dynamics. should be good for abit extra on top of a remapped k03 car, however whether its any better than any old k03s i dunno

is there much labour in swapping a turbo? how much is a gasket kit and where would i obtain this peice of technical metal?!

it can be a real pain in the rear if you aint done it before but really its quite straight forward

i new that i was just testing the nations knowledge!lol. so just to clarify all i need to change a ko3 to a ko3s is a new gasket set? it can't just be that simple surely! will i have to adapt the revo settings or will it just be fit and then play?!

'they' being the majority advise you run revo stage 2 and a 4bar fpr and crank the boost an timing up

also if your swapping the turbo, the reason why is to run more power...but things like the downpipe and stock intercooler will have a negative effect on this. so really you want them things out of the way first

it is that simple, mainly because there isnt that much difference. k03 and k03s are basically the same...the k03s is like the revised version if you like

well i have stage 2 software on at the moment but with the settings turned down and should have my blueflame turbo back system next week.
