(PICTURES NOW ADDED) What to check with the dealer BEFORE paying for a Cupra.

As per the title. Want to make sure that all the points that should be done to the car have been done before I pay for it.

Things like the Wet Windows Fix, ECU updates etc.

If we can build up a list and then possibly make it a sticky so people know what needs to be done maybe?

Input would be greatly appreciated. Other models can benefit if there it is across a number of models in the Mk2 that have recalls / fixes. Thanks

Ensure any options asked for are in the car.
Check paint work over for any marks/scratches.
Check tyre pressures to ensure dropped from transport psi.
Ensure you have all manuals/keys.
General check of interior, cleanliness, alloys, engine bay for any leaks.

Get in turn key and drive her if all is well :D

Picking her up today. Whoo hoo! But is there anything i should look out for specifically? Got 2 hours before the deed is done.

generally check the cosmetic appearance of everything. if its damaged and you dont notice the dealer may say youve done it once youve left the dealership.
mechanically things arent so important as they will be covered by warranty.
i'll be taking a camera when i pick mine up and will photograph everything from all angles so if you do miss something at least youve got proof it was there before you leave.

enjoy!

Picked mine up few weeks ago, was bit worried after reading all the forums but its fine.

It rained loads plus I have used a jet wash on it and have had no problems with water or anything else.

All new models have teething problems and im presuming seat have recieved feedback and addressed any.

There really is nothing to worry about as long as you are buying from a seat dealer as all new Leons are covered by 2yrs seat assistance warranty.
Even if you have a fault at home they are obliged to collect your car and fix it for free and you can get it done at any dealer.[B)]

Thanks for the info. Took a camera but all was ok. Got her at 6. Home at 8. Just come home now. Got to say the drive is so much more refined than the old punto. Pickup is great even under 3.5k. On a mission to get to 1k then get full rev range use. Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Absolutely love the car. Pain in the *** to keep the sills clean when the roads are filthy though.

Nice pickup even during the run in period and it is sooo much more smoother than I remember during the test drive.

Cannot wait until I get the first 625 miles run in so I can open her up a litte bit more over the next 313 before I can start to have some real fun.

(Manual tells me to run in over 1000km gently and then 500km with a little bit more vigour.)

NOTE: Picked her up with 30 miles on her on Thurs.
