what to buy pss9 or kw variant 3

ill put this in here to see if any lads in the know can help me out


i used to have pss9 on my old ibiza and was very impressed

but have since heard people having problems with them with valving, rust on spring seats

the cheapest price so for for my new mk3 ibiza is 1098

i have found kw variant 3 for 1020

my car is been built for ihi over the next few months and will see alot of track action


so what can u recomend

i also plan on added the arb front and back at a later date cheers andy

I believe Bill is running Pss9 on his Ibiza and obviously that has seen a lot of track action, I believe he had an issue with the Bilstein's originally but think that was cured / sorted.

I use PSS (not PSS9) coilovers on my Leon and find them great for road use, not done much track action. This is the first winter so no rust, would be surprised to see rust on the rear spring seat as it's aluminium on my kit.

My expeience of ARB's is that they are the key and getting the sizes right is critical, the neuspeed ones have adjustment holes for (soft/med/firm) which is handy but I'm from the big is best school of thought

Grant at Westec got me a good deal on my Bilstein's

pss9's? I'm looking at either getting some Kw v2's or v3's. Do the v3's come in a nurburgring setup as an option?

not come across any nurburg setup

but at the moment europarts look the cheapest, just wondering if kw variant 3 is the better option

if they where remove resovior dampers i would get them straight away but sure in the ibiza application they wont be

I'm sure I read somewhere that the v3's were special order and they have an 'insert' designed for the nurburg ring/

sod it **** day at work ordered the pss9 from europerformance to cheer me up, as on last cupra and peoples i have been in they have always been spot on

and always been a fan of the billistine products, just carnt wait to get them and the new mos fitted now

the search for brakes continues now
