What thread is gearstick knob ?

Hi

Anyone know what thread is used on a seat/vw gearstick end/knob ?

I am wondering if its an M10 x 1.5 ???????

anyone know for sure ?

took mine off yesterday, cant see a thread, it just clips onto the shaft with a jubilee type clip. where do you mean ill have a look

Some of the older cars have a knob that screws onto the top of the gearshift shaft - the end of the shaft has a thread on it - thats the thread I need to know

It just so happens I have a B&M right next to me awaiting fitting, the thread is M12x 1.25 (same as a wheel bolt)
