Hello just wondering if you have 17 inch alloy road wheels and have a puncture what size steal wheel would you need so that the car would be drivable with a spare on?

if you want to still drive normally and any speed same size tyre is needed i think
might get away with a 16 inch with tyre size of 205 45 16
]what tyre size have you got!

looks ok i would say for a spare a 16inch fr steel or sport steel will be ok as long as it has plenty of tread its not far off your tyre size if you have 205 40 17!

or just dont carry one, i dont, and with your little engine, you will need all the weight saving measures you can get.

One point to note too, that if you have the 312mm brake upgrade, you'll need at least a 16" spare to clear the caliper.

It probably won't happen, but if you have too much of a mismatch between sizes, the ABS could get mighty confused (or maybe even trigger?) and log a fault as the wheels will be turning at different speeds. I doubt there'd be enough of a difference though, as the ABS has to live with front wheels turning at different speeds through corners anyway.

After I had my Ibiza (mk4 Sport, with ESP) on a rolling road, I had to clear some fault codes relating to wheel speed sensors....presumably because the rears were stationary while the fronts were running at 110mph :D
