Unless you've got money to burn I don't think I would spend 5K :-o on a private plate!

 Invest, im extending my loan to do one of the above.

You only live once so why not enjoy it as best you can and just hope that one day you'll win the lottery to solve your finances!

Its to buy a number plate, its the one i have only ever been searching for since i passed my test 6 years ago! ;) Now someone is finally selling it

But a bike is calling I need that speed and thrill of a bike my LCR just aint cutting it anymore :(

Have a look in the JBS forum at their recently revised prices for big turbo conversions. They might come in a bit cheaper than you think. Bear in mind the prices are a 'from...' price and don't include fitting, but you could still get one heck of a upgrade (think 350bhp+) for much less than you're looking at spending on a personal plate.

I know where my money would go ;)

Just get a faster car I'd say - sell your car and get a fast roadster like the 350Z.

I wouldn't waste it on the plate unless you are very plush with cash and the bike would probably kill you (seriously, fast bikes are bad!).

Also a roaster would be a little like a bike (compared to a hatch at least!).

Nice NA 3.5L straight-six in that car too.

i'd go big turbo mate, for 5k you could go either IHI or GT28 with a big FMIC and then maybe some suspension mods after that. then you can go fast all year round without getting cold and wet............ and you don't have to dress up like a power-ranger either!

Yeh. Bikes are all well and good but so dangerous. Lost count of the amount of mates and mates of mates that have either been hit, slid and come off or had a major crash doing stupid speeds.

Fair play, most of these crashes aren't helped by the speed they were doing.. but plenty of these riders are very responsible, mature people. Last week my best mates brother, a taxi driver by trade, had to bin himself and bike into a ditch to avoid being taken out by a blonde bint in a Landcruiser Amazon, middle of the road round a blind bend. It was a wet day and he was doing 40mph in a national speed limit zone. People jsut don't take bikes into account.

IHI all.the.way.
