Alright folks, well got the oil pressure gauge installed but I think summats not right. Everythings fine until I really put my foot down, once I get up to about 5K rpm the gauge hits 95psi and I get the oil warning light on. Also the idling pressure seems to be very low, about 10-20 psi. Everything inbetween is fine, normal pottering around seems ok, Any ideas?? Cheers TF.

Cheers crez, 1 bar is roughly 14 psi, I checked the book and normal running pressure at 2000 rpm with oil at 80 degrees should be 2 bar, which is about 30 psi, alls fine so far. The problem occurs between 5-6K which should equate to about 90psi mines going way over that and the oil lights flashing. My dad in law reckons the sender unit I got is basically shite and cant handle the pressure, Im gonna finish work today and check all my connections are solid I might have done a bodge too far somewhere! Cheers again.
