Right, im after abit of advice of you fellow diesel owners,

Iv got a PD130 which has been remapped, inc. a green panel filter, Cupra Air intake and full 2.5"bore stainless zorst, I reckon its running about 175-180 bhp,

What would be the next step to take power wise?

Ive already got adjustable coilovers and 312mm TT brakes,

Would a Miltek downpipe and race cat release any more power, would it make the car sound any different?

Im thinking of a FMIC and uprated SACHS clutch aswell???

Or should i save for the Allard VT2 turbo upgrade??

I don't want to change my car to a faster one as IMO diesel is best and its not worth swapping back to petrol as i do too many miles.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thanks all

Adam,

Putting my sensible head on, I would say the FMIC would be next on the list. Summer's coming (allegedly) and the warmth will do you no favours with the mods you aready have.
Last weekend I noticed my engine starting to hold back briefly after a bit of spirited driving, and that was in the cool evening air, and mine has a few less mods than yours.
Next up would be the clutch, exhaust and then the turbo last.

Sisson, be aware that JBS are developing a turbo for our motor ... or so mike tells me. Had my work done on Saturday, FMIC, Intake&Filter, and CC1. Love the car now, perfect.

I agree you should go FMIC next. then hold on for JBS turbo :)

Just beware of JBS...they are making me want to spend a fortune!

But from what I can gather, a FMIC would be the way forward for you.

Iv learnt to drive round the slipping clutch, it doesn't do it as much now the weather is warmer but in winter it will slip if i boot it under 2k,

Iv learnt how to use the accelerator not as an on/off switch!!!

What about LPG? I'm getting my kit fitted soon - Its cost me about £450 in materials only, and once fitted I hope to have cleaner emissions and a fair whack more power too. Secretly hoping for 250hp & 400+ lb/ft but I'm not sure at all, what this powershot system will give me. They claim 25% more which would be 275hp/450 lb/ft in my case! EEEK! :D
