when you say switch do you mean just the electrical part ? or the ignition lock itself ?

Hi again. I think it is part number 5 on the picture i want to remove. It must be there it is going wrong. The start motor doesnt get any signals to turn. But when i take a small cable on battery plus and to the kontakt on the start motor it is starting. I dont knoew what the kontakt on the start motor is called in english. But it is the kontakt whit one small red/black cable on it.

thanks / simon

we call it the switch or as you say contact / kontakt and is a common fault for what you describe

if you unplug the wires #8

look from underneath to see the screw #6

undo that and the switch will pull out

********************************

vi appellen det koppla eller som dig något att sägakontakten/kontakt och är en allmänning kritiserar för vad du beskriver

om du kopplar från binder #8

se från under för att se skruva #6

ångra det och det koppla ska handtag ut

Yea i thought so to when i looked at it. But i hoped not. Now how do i get the steering wheel off. The "mutter" (in swedish). Screw that holds the whhel it is some blue stuff all over it. I feeled on it before and sat tight very thight, how is the easiest way to get it off. is it just to take a wrench and just screw it off. Whit muscles like a horse

OK so now i have taken the steering wheel off, and the electrics.

Do i have loosen the steeering shaft too? cause the auluminum chunk still wont move. And i have loosen the insex screw. Or is it just to keep on push and draw until it loosen up. I thinking of all the bearings and so on.

the startengine wont turn at all. not a sound. The only things that happens is that the gaspump start to suck. And the start relay clicks.

do the ignition light's dim and dissapear?

battery voltage ok ?

have you tested the starter motor in anyway ?

when you say relay 'clicks' is it a light tapping noise under the dash or a fairly heavy 'clunk' under the bonnet

may be worth looking under the bonnet whilst someone operates it for you

so starter motor is ok then - yet new contact isn't working ??

can you unplug the wiring and plug in the old one to test it ??

i guess you are not getting a +12v on the signal (small) wire on the starter motor
