Hi All.

I found this rubber "thing" sitting in my engine bay. Anybody know what it is / where it's come from?

Cheers

Mine somehow made it up onto my scuttle panel lol :) . I might put it back in with a dab of glue

Funny that. Mine is missing and has been since I got the car July 2008. Have tried ordering it at the dealers but they were waiting for stock to arrive from Spain as not any in UK. Not really needed as most say, they pop out all the time. The Cogs by the way is the flywheel starter ring gear. Just what the starter motor engages to. Although I still want mine there, must get back onto the dealer. Maybe helps stop dirt and water getting into the gearbox bell housing.

Seems common that it always comes out. I think i will glue it in with a bit off silicone sealant
(that i used to seal my doors:lol:) so it stays there but you can remove it if you needed to.

Just to let those of you know who want one of these, I picked one up from the dealers yesterday, ( had to be ordered in, only took a couple of days). As stated above the part number is 02M 301 115 B. It cost me £3.14 +VAT. Off to go and fit it now with some silicone.
