What have I broken?

As per the water leak thread I decided to have a go at the door card anyway - was a lot easier than I was expecting at least until I removed the card. Then I ran out of hands and gave up and stuck it back on.

However after all that it turns out once I'm in the drivers seat with the door closed I can't open the door anymore. I can however open the door from the outside and let myself out :)

Anyway - what have I broken most likely before I go pulling the door card off again?

Ta :)

More than likely the long metal catch that loops onto the interior door handle has come off.... its an absolute swine and only ever falls off just as you're lifting the door card up and over to slot into place near the glass.

Lost count the amount of times it happened to me.

If the interior handle is just pulling all the way with no resistance than this is yer problem.

And finally I had a look!

Not been particularly dry round these parts sadly :(

Anyway - had a look and the cable was still attached \0/

with the door card supported by my able assistant (my dad :p) I had a fiddle with the handle. It had plenty of resistance and seemed to undo the lock fine.

Saw nothing wrong so replaced door card but didn't screw it back on.

Test the handle again and it's not working again!?

Not sure what my nesxt step is - any advice guys?
